          Lyudmila Senchina, a popular Soviet singer and actress, was born on December 13, 1950, in the Ukrainian village of Kudryavtsy.

          However, her official documents state her year of birth as 1948. Senchina claimed that her father changed her birth year so that she could retire and receive a pension earlier. She grew up in an ordinary Soviet family, with her mother working as a school teacher and her father initially being involved in cultural activities and later becoming the director of a local house of culture.

          It was her father who introduced Lyudmila to the stage, where she performed in amateur plays and celebrations.
